The Presenters
Patricia Wands
is a Director, Relationship Management within the Disability Product Unit at Prudential.
Pat is a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience working in the disability insurance industry.
She has been with Prudential in various roles for over 14 years. At Prudential she has worked in the
disability operation as a subject matter expert on processes, claim management, contract, and customer service.
Pat’s current responsibilities include responding to questions related to Prudential’s disability/absence
products and identifying market trends to foster new product development. She acts as an internal client
advocate with a focus on enhancing Prudential’s disability/absence products, claim management processes,
and the client experience. She is a member of the presentation team and meets with prospective clients and
brokers to showcase Prudential's disability and absence offerings. Pat represents Prudential on the
Research Committee for IBI.
Christina Lombardi
is the Director of Occupational Health Services at Group Health Cooperative. She has program oversight
for all injured worker care within Group Health and direct line accountability for the 13 Occupational
Medicine locations. Under her direction, Group Health Occupational Health Services has developed a
positive reputation in the community as a medical service that understands Worker’s Compensation law and
helps workers return to work quickly and successfully. She has created a program that obtained National
Certification as an Occupational Health Program – the only one in the State of Washington. She has over
15 years of experience in the health care delivery system including hospital and medical center operations
at Group Health and Legacy Health Systems in Portland, Oregon. Ms. Lombardi has B.S from the University
of Utah with and emphasis in Community Health Education and Health Administration. As a business community
leader, she is board member representing the business community on the Renton Centers of Occupational
Health Education Board and is a committee member of the Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council, Health
Care Subcommittee for Washington State. She is also a member of the National Association of Occupational
Health Professionals.
