      Manuel Mendoza serves as the Portland-based, in-House ERISA Counsel for USI’s Northwest region, advising the employee benefits practice group.  Manuel has over 10 year’s experience, primarily focusing on employment benefit legislation, compliance, and the corresponding legal challenges.

      He provides guidance regarding compliance and legal issues related to group health and welfare benefit plans for both private and public sector employers. He regularly interacts with regulatory agencies such as the DOL, IRS, CMS, HHS, and state insurance departments.

      In addition, Manuel is a regular speaker at national and state conferences sponsored by private and public employers and a contributor to employee benefit publications.

      NOTE:  This event approved for two (2) hours of Continuing Education Credit by the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner.  YOU MUST be seated for the presentation within 5 minutes of the session start. You can take breaks, but you must limit your time outside the presentations. The Insurance Credits are for two hours.  NO PARTIAL CREDITS awarded. You cannot sign in late or out early.
