A Breakthrough for Cancer Screening & Overall Employee Health

Brett Morrow, Key Account Director, Employer & Labor Partnerships, GRAIL

Cancer continues to be a major health care cost driver across the nation and in employer health plans and this course reviews different strategies to manage the cancer risk in a population. Early detection has proven to reduce the overall cost of cancer treatment and improve outcomes, but the majority of cancers don’t currently have a recommended screening. When developing a cancer strategy there are steps that can be taken preventively, proactively and reactively. Employers and consultants have the opportunity to develop a proactive approach for early cancer detection. Participants will examine how advances in blood-based cancer screening technologies are enabling earlier identification of disease, potentially improving outcomes while managing future treatment utilization and cost.
